Starting at the top:
July 2022 – Trulicity 4.5mg. I was on Trulicity for a year. This was my top dose after titrating from the bottom. There was one month I had to go down to 3mg. because of the Trulicity shortage.
Sept. 2023 – Mounjaro 10mg. I started at 10mg. because of being on the highest dose of Trulicity for a 6+ months.
Oct. 2023 – Mounjaro 12.5. I was titrated up.
Nov. 2023 – Mounjaro 15mg. I was titrated up.
March 2024 – Mounjaro 12.5mg. The lower dose was a slight challenge. I worked through the food noise and hunger by walking every time I was hungry and didn’t need to eat.
April 2024 – Ozempic 2mg. There was no Mounjaro to be found. Even at the highest dose, Ozempic acted like a placebo; it did nothing for me. I took it for one month and struggled with hunger. I cannot imagine ever going on semaglutide again.
Late April 2024 – Mounjaro 12.5mg. I found the 12.5mg. again! For one month. After the Ozempic, the 12.5mg. was an amazing recovery from feeling like I had been injecting nothing.
Late May 2024 – Mounjaro 7.5mg. By this time, it was a several hour hide-and-seek game with pharmacies each month. Incredibly frustrated, I began researching compounding pharmacies and a company I trusted with my care.
Late May 2024 – Compounded Tirzepatide 15mg. I found Mochi Health and my medication came from Hallandale Pharmacy. I have a post about Mochi and another about Hallandale so you can go through my process of researching the companies that worked best for me. My endocrinologist approved of my using compounded tirzepatide until the shortage was over.
June 2024 – Mounjaro 7.5mg. and Compounded Tirzepatide 7.5mg. I am determined to get my 15mg. tirzepatide one way or another. I am choosing to combine what I can find of my Mounjaro with the compounded tirzepatide making up the difference.
