As Milton begins her approach, I am heading where we can be safe and together.
We will, most likely, not have electricity for awhile when we come home, so I am having to find ways to keep my meds cold in an emergency. I have a couple of brick ices that I will keep in the freezer until the electricity goes out, then I will pack it in the small cooler I have. Of course, the pens are in the fridge still, and I have a sticky note that screams: GLP-1s!!!! on my door so I do not forget them in the controlled chaos going on in our world.
I don’t usually watch hurricane news this closely, but this is a special one. Not special in a good way.
Of course, if we lose electricity, we will all turn our phones off and use them only in an emergency to save our batteries. I have a battery pack that can last for a few days if I do not use it, so do have a back up if I need it.
This isn’t fun.
I am bringing a new journal with blank pages so I can write write write if the electricity goes out. Or if it doesn’t. Thoughts that spill out are a good way to relieve stress.
Blessedly, I just took my third-to-the-last Mounjaro shot yesterday, so don’t have to think about that. I am worried about losing all the food in the fridge if the electricity goes out for a long time, I’ll deal. At least I am not stress eating! HAHA! I also just put on a new CGM, so I don’t have to think about that, either.
Will touch base when back home and electricity comes back!
Hope to see you sooner than later.
Love you and praying for you. I’ll be anxiously waiting to hear that you are safe once the storm has passed. XOXO
