I M TOTALY PISSED OFF.
NONE OF MY DOCS WILL DO THE WORK TO GET ME A GRANT FOR OZEMPIC OR MOUNJARO OR WEGOVY.
I HAVE TO DO THE TEDIOUS, LONG WINDED, RED TAPE BULL TO GET TO THE REAL ANSER.
ON NOVO’S OZEMPIC WEBSITE, I PUT IN THE REQ INFO AND IT DETERMINED THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT MY INSURANC ATENA DENIED=—NOVO SITE SAYS I’M COVERED 100% WITH NO COPAY!
THEY HAVE NOT EMAIL ADDRESS, IT’S BURIED SO YOU CANT WRITE THEM, SO I CALLED CS. BOTTOM LINE I SAID THE SITE GAVE ME THE RESULT OF “IT’S A 0 COPAY.” CAN YOU TELL MY Y? THEY HEMMED AND HAWED AND GAVE ME SPIN PAT STERILE ANSWERS. THEY COULD NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!!
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND.
TELL THE HORMONE DOCS TO GIVE US DISABILITY PEOPLE THE BOTTOM LINE—THEY SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THE SOURCES TO GET THESE DRUGS FREE! IF THEY DONT IT’S THEIR JOB AND THEY ARE LAX AND SLACKERS.
THIS IS REALLY TOO MUCH TIME AND CONTRADICTORY THEORIES & OUTCOMES.
AETNA SAYS “DENIED”–SO I APPEALED—AETNA RE-DENIED.
BUT NOVO SAYS NOT DENIED, IN FACT IT’S ZERO COST TO ME!!
DAZED AND CONFUSED AND UNDER SERVED BY THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.
Oh, Jaince (or is it Janice?), I can totally hear your incredible frustration. I am not going to help much because insurance is not something I know much about. It is so unfair for any insurance to deny someone who needs these medications. What I can tell you is this isn’t the medical profession causing all this misery. It is the insurance companies and the Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) who control who can get the medication and how much they will pay. I wish I could help more, but will cross my fingers that things resolve soon.
If anyone has any help for Jaince, please give her some direction. No need to cure the issue, but pointing her in the direction for help would be great.
